Professional retaining wall construction in Lexington, KY. We build durable, engineered walls that solve grading issues, prevent erosion, and create flat, usable yard space.
BEST FIT
Structural support that reclaims your yard.
A failing slope is wasted space. Retaining walls hold back soil, stop erosion, and allow you to level out sloped areas for patios, lawns, or garden beds.
A retaining wall is a structural build, not a decorative one. The drainage and base work done before the first block is set determines whether the wall holds or fails.

We look at the slope, the soil type, how water moves across the grade, and how tall the wall needs to be. Height determines whether permits and engineering are required — we tell you that upfront, before any work starts.

The footer trench is dug below the frost line and filled with compacted gravel. Walls that fail almost always fail at the base — water saturation and frost heave are the common culprits, and both are addressed at this step.

Blocks are set in courses with the correct backward lean into the slope. Drainage aggregate goes in behind each course as the wall rises. A wall without drainage behind it is holding hydrostatic pressure that will eventually push it out.

Cap blocks are set across the top course to lock the wall and give it a finished profile. If the wall abuts a bed, mulch or plantings are handled at this stage.

Soil is backfilled and graded behind the wall. Equipment, block pallets, and debris are cleared from the property. We walk the finished wall with you before leaving.

Homeowners trust us to solve complex grading issues with walls that look as good as they perform.

NEXT STEP
Tell us what you are planning and we will be straight about fit, timing, and the right next step.
Yes. Timber walls eventually rot. We tear them out and replace them with segmented block or stone walls designed to last decades.
Absolutely. Hydrostatic pressure (water weight) is the number one cause of wall failure. We install perforated drainage pipe and clean crushed stone backfill behind every wall.
We can build walls of varying heights, but walls over a certain height typically require geo-grid reinforcement and engineering consultation to ensure structural integrity.
We use engineered segmented concrete blocks and natural stone, both of which offer superior durability and aesthetics compared to timber.
